Conjunctions with the subjunctive

quoi que

Subjunctive

Example

Quoi que tu fasses, je te soutiendrai.

Do not write

Quoique tu fasses, je te soutiendrai.

Why

In TWO WORDS, quoi que means whatever: subjunctive. Do not confuse it with quoique in one word, which means although. Both take the subjunctive, but they do not mean the same thing, and the spelling is the only clue.
