Why you forget, and how we fix that
The science behind your memory, and why our method works.
Over a century ago, German researcher Hermann Ebbinghaus proved something simple: without review, you forget roughly 70% of what you learn within a week. It's not a memory problem, the brain simply prunes what it doesn't see again.
The fix is called spaced repetition. Instead of reviewing something every day (inefficient, it overloads you) or just once (useless, you'll forget it), the right time to review is right before you're about to forget. Not too soon, not too late.
How Apogée applies this
Every exercise you complete is tracked individually. Get it right, and it comes back later: tomorrow, then in 3 days, then a week, then a month. Get it wrong, and it comes back fast, the very next day. Your Review page shows you, every day, exactly what needs reinforcing, no more, no less, pulling from everything you've learned so far, across every level.
In practice: you never waste time reviewing what you've already mastered, and you never risk forgetting what matters on exam day.

Why this matters for the DELF/DALF
The DELF/DALF doesn't test what you read once, it tests what you actually know, under pressure, on the day. Long-term retention is the only way to get there, and that's exactly what spaced repetition builds, and exactly what your subscription unlocks: unlimited access to your personal review bank, adapting to you, question by question.
